It was a great moment in America back in 2013 when the famous food chain Chipotle announced it was committing to eventually serving only foods that were verified non-GMO. That’s non genetically modified organism food. At the time, Chipotle was also the first US restaurant chain to voluntarily label GMOs and it stated its clear intentions to eventually serve foods with only non-GMO ingredients.
Little did the Chipotle restaurant chain know at the time that following this announcement they would become the target of mainstream media propaganda and ongoing vicious attacks on their reputation. It’s been several years now and the mainstream media continues their vicious campaign to demonize, discredit and trash the reputation of Chipotle. In this latest attack, a dispute over pay to an employee seems to have escalated into a full-on lawsuit whose details are sketchy at best. In a world where accusations published by the mass media amount to perceived “proof” we’re told to believe and accept that Chipotle’s “reputation” is now taking another blow. In this case the propaganda is so intense they even go out of their way to show you a graph!
Chipotle’s brand, its most important asset, was the key to all of this, a fact that made the series of health crises that rocked the company last year even more damaging. Beginning in July, multiple outbreaks of E.coli, norovirus, and salmonella popped up at Chipotle restaurants around the country, leading to a prolonged investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Chipotle was forced to revamp its food safety practices in response.
As Chipotle continues to grapple with the fallout from its food safety crisis, another scandal has reared its ugly head, with the potential to further tarnish the company’s brand. A lawsuit brought by an employee in 2013 alleging that Chipotle required her to work unpaid hours has now turned into class action lawsuit involving nearly 10,000 current and former workers. The accusations, if proven true, paint a picture of Chipotle that is in stark contrast to its employee-friendly image:
For at least three years prior to the filing of this action and continuing through the date of this action, Chipotle has devised and implemented general policies and practices to deprive its hourly paid restaurant employees of the compensation to which they are entitled. Chipotle routinely requires its hourly paid restaurant employees to work “off the clock,” without pay, by various means, including, but not limited to, utilizing timekeeping devices that automatically punch employees off the clock, even if they are still working.
Former employees, in interviews with CNN Money, paint a picture of a systematic effort on the part of Chipotle to keep labor costs down. The original plaintiff recalled instances where the store manager would tell employees to clock out and continue working, and other instances where times would be changed retroactively in an effort keep labor costs low. Those involved in the class action suit come from every state, suggesting that these practices are widespread.
This case, regardless of the eventual ruling, chips away at the second pillar of Chipotle’s carefully constructed image. In the same way that “Food with Integrity” doesn’t mean much following a months-long food safety scandal, Chipotle’s employee-friendly policies are undermined by these allegations. With customers already having one good reason to avoid the company’s restaurants, this lawsuit will only make Chipotle’s recovery more difficult. The financial impact will be minor. It’s the additional blemish on the brand that will sting the most.
To tackle these obviously timed media attacks on the Chipotle franchise conveniently beginning ONLY after they decided to label and eventually dump the ruling elites depopulation mass weapon of genetically modified foods from their menu let’s look at the first claim that Chipotle had a massive outbreak of E.coli, salmonella and norovirus in their foods around the country.
The E.coli turned out to be a strain known as E.coli 026, a unique strain which any medical doctor or microbiologist in the planet will tell you is practically unheard of. So why would an unheard of strain of E.coli be found in Chipotle foods throughout the country? Many people suspect this is bio terrorism from the sleazebag criminals over at Monsanto and it is difficult to argue against this possibility since food poisonings essentially never caused by this rare strain of E.coli. At the time of the suspicious Chipotle “outbreak” reported by mainstream media Health Ranger and researcher Mike Adams at Naturalnews.com stated the following:
After observing recent events involving Chipotle and e.coli, here’s my analysis of the situation: Chipotle’s e.coli outbreaks are not random chance. They are the result of the biotech industry unleashing bioterrorism attacks against the only fast food company that has publicly denounced GMOs.
How do we know? The CDC has already admitted that some of these e.coli outbreaks involve a “rare genetic strain” of e.coli not normally seen in foods. Furthermore, we also know the track record of the biotech industry engaging in the most criminal, dirty, sleazebag tactics imaginable against any person or company that speaks out against GMOs.
Doctor Oz, for example, was maliciously targeted in a defamation campaign funded by the biotech industry earlier this year. The onslaught against Oz was initiated because he publicly expressed his support for honest GMO labeling on foods.
As the attacks escalated, Doctor Oz had his own team investigate the source of the attacks and found they were all biotech industry shills, some with felony criminal records and long histories of dubious propaganda activities targeting anti-GMO activists.
As we can see it wasn’t just Chipotle that came under attack for opposing GMO foods it was also Doctor Oz who eventually exposed the Monsanto shills as low-lives with felony criminal records and unfortunately this is a reminder to the type of informational and propaganda warfare we are in against those that want to kill off most of humanity and make massive profits while they are at it.
Now we’re told by the pro-Monsanto pro-GMO mass media that Chipotle’s reputation has taken another hit because a few employees have filed a lawsuit against the restaurant chain but is anyone falling for this propaganda yet again? Is Chipotle the only restaurant chain that has been sued before? Why make such a big deal over this? And why should we believe this entire story is not another attack against the only restaurant chain taking a stand against GMO foods?
Clearly this lawsuit is not about winning or losing, it’s about the mainstream media publicizing the case and as they literally admit “chipping away” at the “reputation” of Chipotle. Read the article above again and notice the use of these specific phrases like they are inserting the reputation attack in your mind as the main point of the story.
This is a reminder that more than ever we need to support those food chains, restaurants and markets that support natural foods, non-GMO and organic foods. The only way to send a message to the Monsanto mafia is to stop supporting food retailers and restaurants that refuse to tell you what is really in their foods, stop supporting and purchasing foods that have GMO compounds in them (to the best of your ability) and start buying organic and non-GMO. Remember, you are what you eat and being an activist and standing for truth really should begin with what you put in your body. Doesn’t that make sense?
Solutions: How to change your food paradigm?
Start somewhere. I realize not everyone has the same budget and resources to eat strictly organic but in the famous words of Hippocrates-
“Let food be thine medicine”
Never before has this been more true than today. Thanks to the information age and the internet more than ever today it is easy to learn about how to eat healthy and how to live a healthy lifestyle. Become familiar with websites like Mike Adam’s naturalnews.com and Sayer Ji’s greenmedinfo.com where Sayer has an enormous evidence-based database for almost any natural medicine topic you can think of. There’s also Ty Bollinger’s Thetruthaboutcancer.com which is packed with information that will literally save your life and or the life of someone you know. There are many other online sources that offer the average person the opportunity to begin to educate themselves about how to become healthy by first eating right and knowing what not to eat.
Remember, change starts with education and ends with action. And when it comes to food and eating healthy, don’t let mainstream media and government tell you what to eat or even worse demonize you for not wanting to eat food that has been genetically altered. It is no conspiracy to see that natural is better and much safer than synthetic. It is a simple objective truth and reality that is staring you in the face and needs no explanation.
